The opening of the
Onyria Palmares Beach and Golf resort at Meia Praia in Lagos, was celebrated with a golf tournament on October 3
rd. Over 80 players participated in the event, including members, clients, and tourism promoters, as well as José Carlos Pinto Coelho, president of the Onyria group. This was a shotgun type tournament. Over ten million Euros were put into this eighteen-hole golf course in the hopes of making it a notable European course. The event was wrapped up with a barbecue and screening of the Ryder Cup final.At the start of next year, the 172 sea-view room Onyria Palmares Hotel will begin to take shape. The hotel services will include a conference center, a spa, Health Club and Fitness Center as well as some apartments and cabins.
