The festival of Wine and Food - Madeira 2010 runs for three days (October 15-17, 2010) with 20 presentations of culinary offerings, 30 chefs, and the best cuisine and wines in the region. During the three day festival, the world's social and professional wine and food finds its living space, exchanging ideas and experiences. In a region where tourism is the main economic sector, the event has attracted the attention of many foreigners visiting Madeira, and this year in addition to existing regular workshops on wine tasting dinners, live cooking sessions with chefs linked to Madeira. During the week preceding the event, several restaurants in Funchal offer a tasting menu at a fixed price, promoting access and an interest in fine cuisine and wine.
